First, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for Breath & Brunch and celebrated the launch of our Pink Lounge podcast pilot with Neo Gcabo on YouTube. Your presence, even in spirit, made the space soft, warm, and full of heart.
Shooting the pilot was… intense. My Co-Creative Director, Audrey Kgobe, and I were running around without cameras or crew, almost pulling our hair out at times. I underestimated how much I relied on her — without her, I might have melted down completely. But through it all, the laughter, the sharing, and the energy in the room reminded me why I do this.
I could literally feel my energies shift when Dr Modi guided the breathwork and laid her hand on my chest. The calming water flow, the chaotic traffic, Dr Modi’s gentle voice — I fell asleep and really just let go. That moment of pause, of full release, was everything I needed.
Apologies for the radio silence afterward — we rushed back to Botswana to assist with a wedding. Sleep-deprived, tempers running high, living on autopilot… then back to South Africa for the second leg. The past three weeks tested every limit, and by the end, we discovered we can go five days without sleep. We cried over Chicken Licken, drowned our sorrows in cake and trifle, but we also laughed, danced, drank, gave thanks — what an eventful month.
Many have asked if we’ll be back in Botswana — we will, in time, for Glow & Flow, the Botswana equivalent of Breath & Brunch. It’s coming soon.
In the meantime, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be offering intermediate Ashtanga-style yoga and meditation at a Pilates studio in Sandton soon. Keep your eyes peeled — these intimate classes are designed to challenge, reflect, and deepen your practice, rather than slow down the pace. Let me know if you’d like to join!
