Kumbatia San is a South African culinary and lifestyle brand founded by Chef Kaone Dube (Kay), bringing together African food, contemporary culinary craft and the art of gathering.
Kumbatia means to embrace and that spirit runs through everything the brand creates. Food is a way of bringing people together, sharing stories and making a little room for connection. Go ja ke go kopana.
Chef Kay’s culinary journey has taken her from fine-dining restaurants in Cape Town, to luxury yachts sailing across the Mediterranean, and luxury ski resorts in the Alps. These experiences have shaped a style of cooking that combines technical precision and refined hospitality with a deep appreciation for African ingredients and food culture.
