Your life without a computer: what does it look like?

Thankfully I don’t have a desk job… I think it could actually be beautiful: spend time learning calligraphy, my handwriting isn’t hideous but I have always wanted to go back to cursive.

My life as is is wake up, coffee and pre-workout breakfast, workout for two hours, out in nature breathe the fresh air take in the vitamin D for those of us with dark skin vitamin D is a great way to counteract depression and I am prone to depression spells, shower, eat second breakfast check in with my family and loved ones, evaluate where I am with life and then brainstorm where my business is now, where do I want to see it in the next few months and what’s the best way to tackle it.

I keep a hardcopy and a digital copy of all my work and my business partner and I live in separate countries and are each other’s complete opposite. She has taught me that life cannot possibly be GO GO GO! 24/7 however I have always liked my own space my private time and my time with nature it’s always been my priority and will always be…. I actually found myself reminiscing about the days when my older sister and I would walk together to the public library and read books through the afternoon then go home… My mother had strict television rules so reading and mini projects were our entertainment… This memory was brought on by telling my brother to confiscate my 9 year old goddaughter’s ipad, reduce her screentime and delete Roblox and Minecraft… The digital space is scary and I wish we could go back a few years to when computers were exciting and none of us cared what we looked like… When children were children – when we could play outdoors unsupervised because we trusted our community 😭❤️.

It’s funny how when you’re a teenager you beg your parents for the latest phones and now as an adult I never have all my devices on at the same time I have my phone on DND during the day and switch it off at night (if you’re calling me at midnight I can only assume it’s an emergency) and I watch my devices ring unapologetically… We aren’t entitled to each other’s time and we need to learn to have patience again.
